Batteries
Batteries can contain hazardous materials, and can cause fires if not disposed of correctly. Batteries cannot be recycled or disposed of in your local council’s kerbside rubbish or recycling bin, box or bag.
Batteries can be recycled at your local Household Waste Recycling Centr, or local supermarket battery recycling point.
ELECTRICAL FACTS:
- Most electrical items are recyclable and some need to be disposed of safely.
- Please remove batteries from items before recycling
- Electrical items can be taken to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.
- Check with the retailer of the item - they may also have a take back scheme for recycling your items.
