Real Christmas trees
Real Christmas trees cannot be recycled or disposed of in your local council’s kerbside rubbish or recycling bin, box or bag. Real Christmas trees can be brought to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre. *Your council may offer Christmas Tree collections seasonally.
GARDEN WASTE FACTS:
- Garden waste, such as grass cuttings, weeds, prunings and leaves, can be recycled at all of Merseyside's and Halton's Household Waste Recycling Centres.
- Most councils run a kerbside collection scheme for green and garden waste - some charge for the service so please check directly in your area.
- Don't include bricks, rubble or excess soil in your green and garden waste bin.
- We are currently offering subsidised Compost Bins for residents across the LCR to help reduce waste. Find out more here
